Don Janacek, President
With over 16 years of fresh food program experience, Mr. Janacek leads the team at FreshOne, the nation’s fastest growing supplier of fresh prepared food to grocery and convenience store retailers. He has been instrumental in shaping FreshOne’s overall strategic direction. He is responsible for FreshOne’s overall strategy, high-level client engagement, corporate culture and the development of strategic partnerships. Before starting FreshOne, Don was the Managing Director of an autonomous business unit within LSG Sky Chefs which he started and grew to nearly $50 million in profitable sales. He attracted national customers, such as 7-Eleven, Starbucks and Target. Prior to LSG Sky Chefs, Don acquired a custom plastic bottle manufacturer in Houston, Texas to which he restored profitability, and subsequently sold to a larger competitor. Previously, Don started AIRO Catering Services an airline catering business in Eastern Europe which he built and operated that catered to the former Soviet Union countries of Latvia, Estonia and the Ukraine. Under Don’s leadership, the company grew to $10 million in sales with greater than 30% net profits. The company was later acquired by LSG Lufthansa Holdings and Mr. Janacek was retained to run the company for an additional year before returning back to the United States. In addition, he has operated businesses related to food (both airline and retail related), import / export, distribution and manufacturing. He has launched successes in multiple start-up ventures resulting in substantial profits to the investors. Don holds a BA in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin, is the former Chairman of the Texas Scholarship Foundation and is a member of Watermak Community Church. Don enjoys coaching, hunting and resides in Dallas, TX with his wife of 15 years, Melissa and their two children, Haley and Ryan.
David Verheul, Chief Financial Officer
David has been with FreshOne since 2011. He directs FreshOne in all areas of finance and accounting as well as information technology and analytics. With over 20 years of executive management and finance experience in the food service industry, David balances the needs of our clientele and internal teams while maintaining our compliance in an ever-increasing regulatory environment. Prior to joining FreshOne, he has served in various financial management rolls at e3 Partners Ministry, Canteen Food Service, and Custom Food Group. David holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance from Texas Tech University. David is actively involved in his church and enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and two daughters.
Bobby Johnston, Logistics Director
Bobby has been with FreshOne since 2010. He sources FreshOne’ s Distribution needs from budgets, routing, management and analysis. With over 40 years in distribution, Bobby works with our customers and management team to provide the highest quality of service and professionalism. Prior to joining FreshOne, Bobby worked with other distribution rolls with the USPS, Dallas Morning News and Network Solutions. Bobby is actively involved with his church, enjoys his Arkansas Razorbacks and spending time with his wife, two daughters and their husbands and his three grandchildren.
